Cecelia has taught at Lighthouse Christian Academy since the Spring of 1997. Throughout the years, she has taught kindergarten, first grade, and split 1st/2nd grades. Cecelia earned a BS in Education and Psychology from the University of Mercy at Detroit. She also did graduate studies at Indiana University Southeast and Indiana Wesleyan University. And she has taught in four Public school districts and two Christian schools. Cecelia aims to “teach with eternity in mind.” She loves how at LCA teachers truly care for students’ souls, using opportunities to plant seeds for the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a child, Cecelia was deeply impacted by Hebrews 13:8, which says that “Jesus Christ [is] the same yesterday, today and forever.” This verse launched her walk of faith, as she realized that Jesus is alive and active in her life. Cecelia and her husband, Joe, have four daughters, three sons-in-law, and four grandchildren.
