Eclectic is a good word to describe Mr. Jackson. Born in Wisconsin, raised in West Virginia, and settled in Indiana, he has held jobs in retail (stocking, selling, managing), delivering furniture, programming, tech support, networking, and, most recently, teaching. He holds a BA in English Literature, with a Theatre minor, from West Virginia State University and an AAS in Computer Networks and Systems from ITT. One thing that has characterized Mr. Jackson’s work from the beginning is a love of serving others. Whether in a retail, delivery, technical, or teaching context, his desire is to understand and meet the needs of those with whom he works. A lifelong learner himself, Mr. Jackson loves to impart knowledge to a new generation of learners. He also understands the importance of teaching students how to think and reason while standing firm in their faith and being light in a dark world.
Mr. Jackson began teaching at LCA in 2020 after two part-time teaching stints at Cedars Christian School, where he taught writing. He is married to Kimberly and has three boys, Colin, Caden, and Corban, all of whom keep him busy when he’s not teaching. His favorite biblical passage is Psalm 138:7-8: “Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you will revive me; you will stretch forth Your hand against the wrath of my enemies, and your right hand will save me. The Lord will accomplish what concerns me; your lovingkindness, O Lord, is everlasting; do not forsake the works of Your hands.
