With guidance from state and local health authorities, Lighthouse Christian Academy will be suspending classes on campus March 23rd – April 3rd. The reason for this action is preventative and to prioritize the health and safety of all students, faculty, and staff. As far as we know, no one in our LCA community has been exposed to COVID-19. This two-week suspension will also allow families, who traveled during spring break time, to assess health risk exposures. It has been announced by many health officials that the effects of the Coronavirus in the United States has an ever evolving nature. For this reason, we want to be prudent in doing all that we can to protect our families.
Students should take all necessary educational material home today, March 13, 2020. This should include all textbooks, binders, notebooks, workbooks, instruments, and elective class materials.
As mentioned in previous communications, the faculty of LCA will be in touch with you through email and Teams to provide information regarding student Remote and eLearning opportunities.
We recognize the challenges this creates for many families, and we want you to know that we are willing to help in the ways that we are able. If you do not have computers or internet access at home, please let us know so that we can help you come up with a solution.
Thank you for your attention to these directives and your patience as we work to make sure all students are safe and healthy.
Please monitor your health closely and contact your physician if you are exhibiting symptoms of the Coronavirus. Click here for symptoms. Self-monitoring after travel is critical to the health and well-being of our students and staff.
Trust in Him at all times, O people;
Pour out your heart before Him;
God is a refuge for us. -Psalm 62:8
