Dear LCA Families,
Thank you for your support which was critical to our transition to eLearning/Remote learning. Overall, we are pleased with the successes of the launch to remote learning. We recognize this success was built on your patience and valuable feedback, the amazing commitment of our teachers to actively support students, the responsibility and perseverance taken by our students, and the flexibility exhibited by everyone. Together, we partnered in our mission to pursue ‘an academically excellent Christian education’.
With the ever-changing circumstances due to this novel situation, we are continuing to make course corrections as we navigate towards a manageable and sustainable remote learning environment. We marvel how much has changed in just one week, but we hope that we have established enough structure that by next week everyone will feel more comfortable and organized for learning. Due to the broad spectrum of PreK-12 learning, we will rely on each teacher to communicate the path ahead.
Our primary objectives are to support students and be a resource to parents. Please know that we are committed to instructing our students with flexibility and patience while decreasing stress at home. We continue to welcome your feedback. Please contact Mrs. Huck or Mr. Pinkney with any questions or concerns and let us know how we may serve you better.
We encourage you to stay connected to your local church. Many churches are posting great family resources, devotions, and virtual connections. In addition, we thought it would be helpful to provide some additional resources. Here is a link with resources on how to talk to kids about COVID-19, and here is another link with suggestions for family activities.
“And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” Romans 5:3-5
